Default Does Insignia Windows Operation via Keyfob still work ?

I've been trying to get the front windows to function by using the remote keyfob from outside the car. Like the Vec-C does.

I could have sworn it worked on last Insignia, but just does'nt want to know on this one, although it shows its possible in the handbook.

It states in the manual if they fail to work, to close the doors, and with ignition on (windows dont work unless it is on) and then open windows and close them again and to continue holding the close button for a further 2 seconds, should only be necessary to re-initialise it again if battery has been disconnected apparently.

This used to be quite handy, if you forgot to close the windows after getting out of the car you could hold down the lock buttion and close them remotely.

Anyone with a Insignia got this remote powered window closing to work on theirs. ?

Yes I know.... thats the issue, its not working. I had it on prevous car.

Its either something to do with config setting, which I cannot see any option whatsoever refering to this anywhere in the config settings, although it shows it in the book.

    Or VX have dropped it!

This is the exclusive nav model and plus pack. Which added the Fog Lights and 18" 7 spoke alloys. (a must really for only £425)

I was wondering if it had been dropped on the Exclusiv, though I would'nt have thought so.

Auto door locking not working either, with again no option showing in the config display. Some options get disabled when a certain item is disabled, but despite extensive playing around with settings... no joy as yet.

Really need someone with a Insignia Exclusiv to confirm it works on theirs, before firing the gun at the dealer, who seems useless anyway, he was not even aware that you need to touch the brake once to turn the Cruise Control on.

I dont suppose VX support or customer care work on a sunday? Unlikely I think.

    Cheers matey.

Yes it is, but not working for some reason.

What model Insignia is your's ?

An issue for the dealer I think and probably yet another reason to dump it back to them.

Thanks matey, I could really do with someone who has the same basic Exclusiv model just to be 100% certain whether it should work or not before I start shouting at them.

TBH I am seriously considering taking it back today, as there are probably some sales people there, typing up a rejection letter due to the fact it had 72 miles already on it, and had 3 or 4 small stone chips 2 of which had been poorly touched up IMO. (currently has 160 miles on the clock)
Leave the letter and the car with them and get a taxi back, as I need to do this quickly if I'm to have any chance of refund.

    To quote the service handbook.
Before supplying the vehicle, we have carried out a pre-delivery inspection to ensure your new vehicle is in a flawless state, and IMO its far from flawless.

Definitely one for the letter for Wednesday bud.

    I can't imagine they'd drop global closing.

On my pauper Life, it still works but only on the fronts, as the rears are hamster manual ones.
