    Default I want to fit Cruise Control to my Vec-B

    Guy's,

    I want to fit cruise control to my Vectra-B.

    I havent got the kit yet and to be honest, I dont really know exactly what i would need, ideally it would need to be a second hand setup.

    First off, is it possible for a 2.2 SRI DTI to have the Cruise Control??

    If so, whats involved and how hard is it install and setup?

    Also, what do I need and any idea's where I can get the kit from?

    I have checked other forums and a lot of people have the V6 stuff, but doubt that would fit mine as different gearbox.

    So far, all I know is that it usually consists of:
    - Stalk;
    - Cable;
    - Gearbox Module.

    What else?

    Also has anyone actually done this on their own current or ex-Vec-B's?

    Thanks.

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

    I fitted cruise to my old Vec B 2.0 DTi on a 51 plate.

    All it needed was the indicator stalk with the buttons on the end.

    If you remove the top steering column cowl, there should be a small 4 pin plug. The extra wire from the stalk just plugged into this.

    10 minutes and not a lot of cash.

    All the programming for CC was already in the ECM.

    No module, it's in the ECM as the engine is electronic.

    Nothing more to add to get it to work on mine, just the stalk. Clutch switch already there on mine

    Definately, as yours will have the fly by wire throttle, so that should be all thats needed (with maybe a splatter of Tech2).

    On the Vec-B, are the CC buttons on the indicator stalk or wiper?

    No tec needed on mine, either.

    Indicator, same as C

    Just fitted the cruise stalk and off it went.

    You could always try before you buy anything.

    The 4 pin plug I mentioned, one has a main +12V feed, and the other pins are pulsed from this feed to do either Speed +, speed - or cancel.

    I actually drove down a quiet road with wires coming from the plug and a mate just touched the power wire to the others to see if it all worked. It did, so I bought a stalk.

    Remember that there will not be any dash light lit up, like the Vec C

    I might just buy a stalk and see how it goes....if not its the start of the project?

    Where can I get one from?
