Lindsays Dumbarton? Good or bad?

Hey guys,

My car is due a service and mot next week, i have an arnold clark service plan after phoning and finding out all they basicly do is change the oil and filter i want to go elsewhere even know i will have to shell out more.

Does anybody have any experience of lindsays of dumbarton???

This is where i get all whe work done on my car mate and they are very good IMHO even on my old car when it had lot's of problem's they were the one's who sorted it out.

Definate thumb's up from me and i have to travel 60 mile's each way to get mine there

are they your closed dealer steven? they might be better as they arent a big chain and cant afford to lose/rip off people as they need the business

No they are not my closest dealer Scotty(1 closer) but they are the closest main dealer i would trust also i had soooo many bad dealing's with Arnie C that im never darkening their door again!!

Seriously, give them a shot mate as they are a good honest dealership who know their stuff

ive not had any probs with linwood(yet) but nows its out of warranty we'll find out now

Bought my old vec from there, they goosed it, then could not fix it and in the end it went into Lindsay's to be fixed....all in all i was without it for over 3 months.

I recon they are fine for day to day stuff but anything else i would not go near them TBH.

Ive had that much problemfrom them with this car and my previous astra but i got the service plan free but i just dont wanna go there again especially after i asked what the service included. It does'nt include an air filter, pollen filter or fuel filter, basicly they will stick it on the ramp drain the oil and replace the oil & filter Great service!
