Default I'm not that flippin' old!

I got into work today and was mentioning that I was in a good mood, as I'd been listening to Elbow's "Seldom Seen Kid" on the way in -one of my current favourites. One of my younger colleagues looked at me like I'd said I'd had a night of passion with two warthogs and a porcupine. "Isn't that a bit young for you?", he asked?
I admit that I'm 50 next birthday, but it doesn't mean I only listen to easy listening stuff! He seemed incredulous that someone my age would have, Elbow, The Killer, Snow Patrol and The Arctic Monkeys on my iPod. (And amazed that I had an iPod, come to think of it ). I'll admit that I have lots of 70's and 80's rock, but that was my era. It doesn't mean that I don't appreciate something a bit more contemporary!
So, come on the "more mature" Vec-C crowd, what are you listening to?

Phil, who listened to "Day And Age" on the way to work !

I'm 31 and there is everything from Abba (i know!) to lynyrd skynyrd (free bird, what a song) right up to the same sorts of bands you've mentioned Phil. I couldn't live without my music or both of my ipods.

Oh and I think I might download the killers new album this afternoon, is it anygood?

Kings of Leon, what a fantastic album that is, you don't need to be young or old to have good taste!

Well, I will admit that I listen to Radio 2 now (listening to Steve Wright takes me back to my Yuff!) and I love 80s/early 90s stuff.

However, my favourite album at the mo is The Killers. Other stuff currently in the car, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Erasure, INXS, Mika.

    (I'm a young 40!)

I'm half scared to admit this, but I'm only 30 but have some country in my car at the moment, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw etc.... its well chilling and is very good to drive to..
