    can anyone point me in the right direction on what machine polisher to buy need to take them swirls out. thx guy's

    have a look on ebay mate silverline orange but the pads you get with it are rubbish so i bought a new backing plate and new pads from elite car care

    I've just had a go with an Orange Silverline Rotary as per thread HERE.

    Also heard the Kestrel DAs are good if you fancy something less powerful.

    not less powerful just works different. if i could start from fresh again id work with a DA

    Sorry mate, meant less daunting/dangerous really.
    From what I've read alot of people think its better to start with a DA as opposed to a Rotary.

    a rotary is good as long as you dont get carried away with it test panels or what you are doing on the astra is the best place to start and a lot of reading detailing world i went on there for months first some good lads on there

    agreed, ive seen some cars go for £1 at auction recently so before you rush off to buy a panel may be worth buying a project banger. and yes take a look around DW. but for all the good guys there are as many tools
