It's an expensive item, as it's only made by Isuzu, so dealer only part. You'll pay about £50 for it.

You could also try a Renault dealer, the Vel Satis uses the same Isuzu lump and the filters are interchangable. Renault are sometimes cheaper.

    Autovaux do them,

    £23 for Y30DT
    http://www.autovaux.co.uk/LoadPortal...bid=5&vnum=138

    £20.99 for Z30DT
    http://www.autovaux.co.uk/LoadPortal...bid=5&vnum=138

I use the 5W30 synthetic with mine and only ever had the dealer change it, but I think it takes 7.5 to 8l, again AutoVaux do the VX LL fully synthetic for £20 for 5l

    http://www.autovaux.co.uk/LoadPortal...bid=5&vnum=138

Dont know if Autovaux are any good, I think some guys may use them for bits, I researched and then ended up getting the dealer to the service anyway!

5w-30 synthetic for eco-flex 2year 20/30,000 mile (repmobile) cars,10w-40 semi-synthetic is fine for 1year/10,000 mile intervals. The main thing with the oil is that it's ACEA A3/B3 graded.

The filters are expensive, you just need to shop around.

My V6 goes in for full service at VX at end of month for £150

So...if I ask the person at the parts counter for an oil filter for a Vectra V6 diesel they'd say £40,but if I then asked them for an oil filter for a Saab 9-5 V6 they'd say £30 ??????

It's a funny old world innit.

Well, only if you were in a vx/sabb dealer. If its available from a motor factor it should be the same price for VX/Sabb/Renualt/Izuzu.
