To grease, or not to grease....?

years ago I always stuck a bit of grease on the door hinges evry year or so, now I am sure the hanbook for the Veccy says not to? maybe I got that wrong?

Copper grease or white grease spray cans work wonders.

Im not sure grease is great as I find all of the dirt tends to stick to it probably better with a little white grease to spray on or little oil

Yep, it does say not to grease either the fronts or backs (can't recall which one it was without checking) - although I don't know the reason why! One of the catch straps (which is what I think they're referring to) was creaking on the rear so a bit of spray white grease soon sorted it. I'd rather that than putting up with the creaking sound.

The hinges were never greased at the factory. We were told that they would never need doing!
