Default Vectra Major Service check list?

Morning all. Is there anyone who can advise me what is actually changed/cleaned in a "Major Service"?

Just had one done and am wondering what has been done for the money other than an oil change and pollen filter change. spark plugs? bulbs?

only ask as i think my Osram nighbreakers have been taken out (after 2 weeks of use) and replaced by vauxhall std ones! i'm blind again! also the car is still starting poorly

Needs a call to request your old bulbs for sure & quick before there fitted into the mechanics motor, not saying they all do that but....

Nicking your Osrams is disgraceful. A letter to the MD would totally be in order, after you have verified that they have been replaced.

basically you mentioned all the major changes, apart from refill top up fluid levels. Every approved vauxhall dealer charges £400 plus for a service, whereas Kwik fit charge £150 with all the same changes (54 plate signum 2.2 turbo)

Labour costs are the biggest factor.

    speaks for itself.

I have never heard of them changing the bulbs in a service unless one had blown, so without them for some reason taking them out, they would not have known you had Nightbreaker bulbs, as I say sems odd to have taken them out, I would take one out yourself and see what is acctually in there now. If only for peace pf mind.

Thanks. I went through a Vauxhall branded garage (will name and shame once i'm sure rather than throwing around mud!) and got a MOT and Service package for around £200. As a side, it failed some bits of MOT and was quoted a massive bill which broke down with £80+ per hour!!!!! have gone local and got the bill halved. If i paid £80 an hour i would expect the person who designed the vauxhall engines to be on the car whilst someone else shined my shoes!

Thanks for the comment, i completely agree, need to be 100% sure what is in there now. will take one out tonight/tomorrow morning and check. Have been asked to look for a quick yellow tint for the standard bulbs

That's about our hourly chargeable rate for a principal engineer, so no money left for the shoe shiner.
