    Default trip computer?? please refuel?

i am new to owning a veccy, but would like to know how far anyone has run the petrol gauge down to before running out!!!

my trip computer is saying refuel....but my petrol gauge is above the red. never had a trip comp before, and i have a 3 mile trip to work in the morning.

do i need to set off early and put some juice in?(time is tight on a morning), or can i leave it till hometime and stop off on the way home?

what should i believe the petrol gauge or the comp??

its a 1.8 sri by the way! cheers

If the fuel warning light in the bottom right corner of the instrument cluster isn't on don't worry and only worry when that light flashes

When the trip computer on my, now gone, Veccy B ticked to Range 0 I covered another 60miles before I ran out. Refuled with 57l (tank is 60l ).

If you drive a Vectra C beware that when the computer it's telling you Range 0 you have about 2.5l left in your fuel tank...

I've had the fuel comp say '0' miles remaining, fuel needle flat on the stop and driven two and a half miles to refuel lol. Mind you, I did drive that 2 and a half like my grandma lol

Don't belive mthe trip computer use the gauge and the warning lights my trip computer from a battery off reset told me 2 different fuel consumptions for the same distance with different fuel levels used I don't trust it and use the gauge and warning light. The fuel consumptions were 6.7 mpg different and 1 display said 6.7 gallons used the othe 7.3 for the same milage computers SISO (****e in ****e out)

so there is still a warning light on the gauge when its low? and what is theoretically left in the tank when it comes on.

About thirty miles and it flashes when it gets to 15 check in the morning when you switch on it should illuminate and then go out if there is enough fuel but it is not in the gauge but in the bottom left corner of the instrument cluster

3 miles, leave the car & walk. I recon when it's on the red & says low you can drive 40 miles at least. I used to think I must get some in the morning drive 16 miles to work & forget & again on the way home only to have to go out & fill up before the next morning. You’ll be fine.. maybe drive like a grandma
