    Default Insignia TV Ad

At last it's arrived on the telly, the ad for the Insignia. Rather bland to say the least but at least VX are letting folk know its out and available to buy on 10th Jan. Wonder how sales will go with the credit crunch? Good luck any way VX, you're gonna need it.

Personally, I think the credit crunch has been blown all out of proportion. Same goes for the recession.

With my job, I work in many industries, Food and Beverage, Oil and Gas, Chemical, Pharmacutical, aggregates etc.

With the exception of aggregates being a little slow, in 2008, our company saw a record year for sales and project work, we have seen little effect.

I had long chats with friends and family over Christmas, and asked them if they have 'really' been effected. The answer was no.

The media is to blame, there scare people into not buying, and as a result we see the high street shops going bust.

Sooner or later people will start to realise that it's not all that bad and will buy again.

Sorry, back to topic!! My rant is over!!!

I look forward to seeing the ad.

Very true. The media need to take a look at themselves, they are causing alot of this 'hype' ! Not many people watching the pennies in the sales were there ?

Anyway, not seen the Insignia ad yet but look forward to it. Hope Vx do well with it.

Same here, think the Credit Crunch has been brought on by people themselves, spending what they dont have, Credit Cards, etc....just need to be a little careful.

Going though, I hope the Insignie does well as they have now ditched the Vectra name....would like to see Vx kick Ford's backside with this!

Looking forward to seeing the "bland" ad. I remember when the Vec-C was released, New Vec, New Rules with Ref Uriah Renee, used to like that.

Having said that, apparently the Insignia's already a hit winning car of the year 2009 without being released.

Wonder what the Top Gear review will be like!!!??!!!

Not seen the ad yet, but I've just been out to the dealers during my break.

Asked them when the Insignia's were due in.........

Got a hatchback CDTi they were just preparing, so let me have a look.
Not a bad motor really, boot looks same size as Vectra. But more legroom in back, even with front seats slid back.

The only thing I did notice, even with the rear headrests down, the view through the rear window looks limited.
Also, they have made it possible to dissable the passenger airbag for baby seats, etc (using key on driver's side with door open).

They also had a sri turbo saloon in the compound, had a look around that as well.
Looked nice with the black gloss finish around the dash.
Don't think I'll be going for the saloon version if I had one, the opening for loading seems smaller than the vectra.
