    confused Wheel

    Hi Guys/Girls

Right i have just bought a signum 2004-2005 plate car. It has some 18" Oz Alloys on it. But i need new tyres on all four sides. The question is that the Manufacturer Recommends 225/40/18" for the Signum on a internet trye site. but I Currently have 235/30/18 what is the Difference between those two tyres ???? Also that the Oz wheels will take the Recommended size. ??? All i can find out from the Oz web site is minimal.

I know that F£££ing about with the Tyres/wheel sizes can have a demterimental effect on the car how likely is that with the tyes will have an effect on the car

With the bigger tyres will i have to get the car an alignment of the wheels to adjust to the bigger tyres?

    Any help would be appriacted

The size Vx uses is a 225/45/18,but most people use a 225/40/18 as there's more choice and it's slightly cheaper,A 235/40/18 can be used, but the wheel should be 8" wide, this combination fills the arches nicely,if you've got 235's already as long as the wheel is suitable stick to this size.
