Default Aerial Safe in Car Wash?

Anyone know if it's safe to take the Vectra C hatch through an automatic car wash or is the rooftop aerial likely to get damaged? (Don't usually use them but sometimes need a quick titivate before turning up on a customer's site).

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

Car wash every time for me. I have NEVER hand washed my Vec C in the 3 1/2 years I've had it.

I defy anyone to see swirls in my paintwork. I can't see them - maybe I can't see them as I don't care about them. Silver prob doesn't show them up.

Anyway, I always remove mine, but I've seen other Vec C go through with it in place without it being ripped off. As to whether it causes any unseen damage, I couldn't say.

Silver shows them too. Just look at the bodywork next time you fill up with petrol.

Yes, normally I'd hand wash it but not so easy when you're dressed ready for a meeting with a customer
