    confused Stolen, Recovered cars...

What does the fact that a car has been stolen and recovered do to insurance and general ability to buy/sell the vehicle? I've just been looking at getting a Vec C to replace the birds Ka. (Oh, I think I've asked before, BUT, Cat D? Is that really as bad as people make out? Even if it doesn't need a VIC?)

    SO can anyone enlighten me....?

I dont know the answer to your question but if you are looking for a Vec C I am selling one for my mate. It belonged to his Father but sadly he died and thus his car is no longer need. It is a 54 1.8 LS LIFE with 12400 YES 12400 miles on the clock

as far as I know a cat d is when they have paid out as a total loss i.e - stolen never recovered then it's found so it belongs to the insurance company. Or it has had minor damage but for some reason was never repaired as part of the claim .

But does it mean anything to the insurance cost? IE - would it cost more to insure than a 'normal' car?

iirc then some ins companies will not insure a cat d or total loss vehicle unless it has a check and certificate to say it is fully road worthy, ''Q' plate spring's to mind for re-registered write off's

i might be completly wrong wrong though

as said check with ins company first
