Stripping headlight on Vec C query

Hi all,
I want to do a certain mod to the headlights on my facelift vectra C. I need to get into the headlight and access the chrome lamp surrounds inside the headlight itself. Is this possible or is the whole thing sealed. I'm askig before I take a light out and damage it.

but i think the outcome was to leave well alone as its a sealed unit and plastic welded together.

It has been done on a pre-facelift but not on a facelift AFAIK.

No LED's. I was thinking the chrome on the headlights looks naff. Thanks for the info. Having to look at different ways of doing it now. I might just buy two spare headlights and mod them off car!
