TBH, I'm hoping for a cheque - the cost of replacing it was just over £400 in all, not the sort of money I really have just lying around
No doubt they'll offer me a £10 ticket to the next event or something equally helpful...

Having looked into this matter and obtained a full report from our marshalling company, I’m afraid I cannot offer any financial compensation.
However, I would like to offer you a pair of complimentary tickets to our TRAX event at Silverstone on September 7th, along with a Lotus Exige Driving Experience. (See traxshows.co.uk for details.)
It was a regrettable incident but I’m satisfied that the marshals acted appropriately, my offer is therefore purely a goodwill gesture. I hope you’ll accept.
