Door locked OPEN! HELP! - Urgent

Hi guys,

My wife just phoned me, she was getting the kids out of the back of the car and one of them did something on the doors side (the edge you cant see when door is closed) when it was open. Now the 'hook' thing is in the locked position, stopping the door from closing.

She had tried everything, and i have tried everything over the phone, but no luck.

HAS ANYONE GOT ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS????

Any ideas welcome as the wife is sat in the car in the midle of town because we cant leave it open!!!

PLEASE HELP!!

Has she tried starting the car and pressing the central locking button on the drivers door ?

try and move it with the key while pulling on the handle

Try locking/unlocking it manually with the key in the drivers door ? She hasn't caught the child locks has she ?

or try unlucking and locking with the key fob a few times

take the child lock off and it will open ok

Nevermind, crisis over, just pulled for handle on the outside of the door! D'oh.

She said she had tried that, but i told her to pull it hard and it released the lock!

Happned to me. Simply insert the key into the red lock and turn so that its vertical, pull handle and it should open up. It can happen from time to time.
