Why is this still an issue ? I've just heard the furs from a seal go for £25, I cannot believe someone would wish to kill an animal for £25, and if ppl stopped wearing the coats made from them there'd be no demand for it and no point killing them, I've always had an inbuilt animal over human thing from an early age when some ******* shot a lame race horse in front of me, kinda stained me if you like, I hope the rich and vain get a buzz from wearing them, because there's no other reason, I could understand if the animal was killed to feed it's hunter and his family, but just so someone can flaunt wealth is just so wrong and so is the way it's executed.

Will always be an issue,i hate seeing fur coats and the like around,agree with you VV that animals should be killed for survival only, not for their skin or any other part of their body...........

My wife likes fur coats and fur hats etc and you need them in Russia as it is so cold all of the time. She's too frightened to wear them here in case of the animal rights lot.

Man can make the samething from other materials that keep you just as warm without using animal fur.

Maybe but not readily available in Siberia. I prefer the man made stuff because I am a brand slut.

I'm against killing for fur now....as a new product...but as for existing coats and the such that are on the market, I can't see a problem....where does the law stand on say purchasing a tiger rug from the 19C?

Hard one to call tbh, shouldn't be a problem as long as it doesn't open a door for new fur sold as old.

I'm not really in favour of killing animals purely for their fur. HOWEVER, if the fur use was an extension of the animal being killed for food, then OK. Like cows, beef is nice, and leather products use the skin too. Utilising the whole animal is good, IMO.
