    Default Bluddy British Gas!

We signed up for their boiler care scheme some months ago, only today have they bothered to show up, so they can inspect the system.

It was fine, but just recentley, it's gone through a phase of the fan cutting in and out and after umpteen repititions of this, finally firing up. Engineer said we need a new PCB, £85.

Great, fine, I say, Sharons heavily pregnant, the last thing we need is the boiler going wrong, crack on.

All goes well until he drops the pressure screw down into the floor of the cupboard and can't find it! Has he got a spare? No. Can he get one? Doesn't even try, so here we are sat with the gas fire and that's all.

I've a good mind to call them out again, now and get them to sort it out.

In the past, if I made a boob like this, I'd sort it out.

Shame British Gas aren't so conscientious....

I would not have let the Gas man go until it was sorted. Kidnap would be a good word to use. Also if its took them this long to come surely they should be paying to fix the boiler considering it was not faulty when they first should have come out. Call to customer services I think!

Shocking m8!!! I've dropped the odd cover/cap/screw during services but i would NEVER leave without either finding the part or repairing it somehow. You should not be left without heating as it was his fault. If you had a fault that required a part then he could be excused as long as he puts in an urgent order for the replacement. To leave the way he did should be investigated Report him to his supervisor/office etc. and demand an explanation.
