Sort of.... my VXR rear spoiler has arrived at the dealers and will be here on thursday. Got to get it painted and probably fit it next weekend

the local paint shop normally charges me about £40 to paint spoilers and loose bits as they do them in between major jobs etc. Takes about a week for them to do it but i dont mind waiting

gawd thats cheap, most places say metallic is min £100

well until it lands on my doorstep on thursday i presume so. Im assuming it just bonds on with either tape or sealent? although im sure we had a brief chat about maybe screwing it on from the underside to stop scallies nicking it?

me and sealent dont mix though and i always end up with more spread over the panel than i do where it should be

it comes with a strip of foam / sticky tape around the inside edge, i'm told that it will stick good..., but dont forget it needs to line up perfectly with the 3rd brake light

i'm worried about getting it lined up and then...bu99er...it kinda sticks...then what do you do...?

oh yeah, just off subject, how do i insert pics i've already inserted? if you try and upload them it says they already exist, but where??

thats my worry too with the spoiler. I presume the tape has some thin cover strip over it?. In which case i would peel the end back so it sticks out from the flat side of the spoiler (towards the window), then position the spoiler, hold it down lightly and pull the rest of the strip off with the spoiler still in place?

If it goes wrong, just pull it off and bond it on lol.

Images..... they are on the uploader server somewhere. If you have lost the link, just resave your image as something else and reupload it.

If you want to insert pics that you've already inserted in another post, just go to that post, right click on the image to get the properties and copy the URL that it gives. It'll be

http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/upload...pics1/xxxx.xxx

where the x's are the file name of the original.

All I do is find the pic I want to upload (that has alreasdy been uploaded previously), right click on it and click on rename, then just put a number in, for example; CAR.jpg now becomes CAR1.jpg. Then upload it.

Back on topic. I can't wait to see this spoiler on Andy. Will it be on by 8th Jan?
