Ashtray??????

Hi all, just a quick curious one really as a non smokerhaving an ashtray in my vectra c 2003 ls seems pointless, is there any replacment such as a useful compartment or another cupholder or something i can get to go under the flip up cover????? Just curious........

My 2006 Vectra has ashtray but an accessory socket in place of the ciggy lighter. So I very much doubt there is an alternative that can be fitted in place of the ashtray.

TBH, I dont believe the majority of smokers use the ashtray either!!!!!

I have always kept loose change in mine but for some reason in the Vec it rattles too much when I have coins in there!

Was it the old Mondeo that had slits to keep coins in? You know - on display for theiving scum!

I smoke, but my ashtray is a virgin! Besides I thought the 'smoker pack' which doesn't appear to be available anymore was priced a bit steep to say the least.

the older vecs used to have a coin compartment under the headlight switch, was quite useful but as usual vx omitted it

I remember that now you mention it. I often look at that area and under the steering wheel thinking there should be some storage area.

Thats my coin tray. Im a smoker but never used the ash tray, that stores the allen key for my tax disc holder

the ash tray is perfectly designed to hold my phone.. im sure thats what is there for!
