    Default Windscreen wiper limp mode???

Stange one this, This has happened several times now, when its frosty (outside temp below 3 deg) the front wipers sort of go into limp mode(best way to describe it lol). The washers don't operate, wipers run continuously on rainsense mode and manual wipe loses its park function (eg wipers stop mid wipe when stork released). Once out side temp is above 3 deg and engine is stopped and restarted all returns to normal...anyone had this before? And if by any strange chance that it is some strange feature (to stop damage to wipers if frozen up) can it be removed.

i think they see what the temp is and wipe acording to that ..to protect the blades arms and so on .

yeah..I can understand the logic behind it..but when you've got a dirty screen disabling to wash isn't good.

the very same thing happened to me twice over the last few days, at first i also thought the wiper motor was on it's way out again but then once the outside temp came up all was fine and dandy.
be interested to know if it is some built in protection but it is a pain in the butt. are you just not supposed to drive if it's frosty?!!
