I know this is an open ended questions but on the cdti vectra how long does the clutch last i know its dependent on how you drive but say its mostly inner city

Depends entirely on how you drive the car. eg, do you ride the clutch, or hold the car on the bite at traffic lights....
I had 120k out of a clutch on an old Toyota Corolla, hpoing to get at least 90 - 100k out of Siggy Clutch!

just brought it but i tend to leave it out of gear on hills an traffic but i do have to liek bring the pedal to my face b4it starts rolling

correct how long is a piece of string, at 33k i had a shock the other day when mine had probs engaging 1st several times but seem to cure its self i had visions of a dark lane and a match cos it aint gettin a clutch at that mileage no way, its manor has changed slightly a bit more of a snappy engage now and again so we will see!!

Did about about 60K in my first 1.9CDTI and it's still fine, about 60% of the miles were racked on the motorway though.
