Life on Mars sequel, watched the first one last week. It cheesy to say the least but funny too and a great opportunity to look at some nice motors. I will be Vx spotting tonight although his Audi Qautro is a gleaming example. Astonishingly red.

Actually, the Quattro they're using is too new for 1981. They're using what looks like a 20v model. Certainly post '85 anyway.....

Yeah...read a while ago that they knew they had the later car but it was the only one found that fitted the profile of Gene Genie.....

What 1981 alternative should he have?

Cortina? Done before.
Capri? Done before.

The Cortina wasn't correct either.

Life on Mars also had uPVC windows in the houses, Mitsubishi aircon units on the back of buildings, and the NTL/Telewest boxes on the walls of the houses.

Missed the first episode last week, so got episode 2 to record on Sky+ followed by Episode 1 straight after on BBC3 I think it is. Will catch up tomorrow
