Yanky Tank puts wrong fuel in Veccy!!!

I pulled into Charnock Richard Services today to get a paper and a sarnie and whilst I was in their a nice looking 57 plate black xp veccy pulls up behind. It even had the blacked out headlamps!

Anyway goes in does me shopping and goes back to my car, anyway the guys looking at me and then says ' hey man what fuel goes in here'?

What engine is it I asked and he said 'dont know', so looked at the back at it was a diesel.

He then told me had put £2.50 of unleaded petrol in, just fill it full of diesel and you should be ok.

He said our diesel's are so quite compared to the USA.

didnt know they did diesel there..lol...
every car i've had out there has been at least 3 litre petrol and sounds like a tank.. god knows what a diesel sounds like..

they do have diesels only they are 6.5L v8's and v10's. I had a pick up with a 6.5L v10 and a 120 litre tank and i had to refuel after 280 miles!!!!!

I once put £15 of unleaded in a TDCi Mondeo. I topped it up with Diesel and it was fine. Company car thank god.

yeah.. but its that cheap.. we had a mustang when we were working last year... courtosy of the queen.. and it cost abou 30 dollars to fill it... would cost 3 times that in pounds over here to fill it.. only reason why I havnt got one now as i can get one imported for free..
