Accident Damage parts

Hi all.

I'm going to have a look at an accident damage vectra 2.2 dti 53 plate tomorrow morning. Just to have a look at the general condition of the whole car and majority parts that are needed to repair it.

So far from the very very small pic it looks like
bonnet
front bumper
He has stated air bags in the advert how many? I'm unsure.
Possibly headlights

Anyway i was hoping maybe u could point me in the direction of some where on line i could price the parts up?? Or even contact numbers??

Also he states that it has full leather interior, was this an option with all the vectra's or could this be a decent spec??

I have been looking at the 2.2 sri dti's and havent noticied tem to have full leather although this is advertised as a 2.2 dti??

There was a guy from leeds who had an SRi 2.2 dti with full leather and all the optional extras. Think it was ex vx management.

Cheers lads hope it isnt to badly damaged main expense will be buying the airbags i reckon they seem to be pretty steep in price.

If it needs front seat airbags I've got a pair in the garage, dare say it'll be the front two though, whole new dash

If it was a front impact, which it sounds like given the damage, it's likely to be the driver and passenger airbag. I wouldn't have thought the side curtain or seat ones would have gone off.

If it's the passenger airbag, then, I'm sure, it needs a new dash, or dash section - one sec and I'll check which.

Being a 53 plate it looks like it would have been made after 2003.5. The significance of that is that in models up to 2005.3, if the front airbag went off then you also need to replace the airbag control unit, which you don't need to do on models after that. They're not cheap - around £400 retail!!

Re the leather. It could either be an Elite spec, which would also have Climate Control, or it was specced as an optional extra from new.

If the passanger airbag has fired then it rips a F'ing big hole in the dash above the glove box, only way is to replace the entire top of the dash section I think

R well looks like if after the viewing i'm interested it'll be time to try and find some prices by the way its up for £1850 unsure of mileage on the car

Yep,that's what I wasn't sure about - if it was the whole top of the dash, or if it was somehow just sectioned for the passenger side - although I can't see how it could be. I'm sure it's the whole dash top as you say. I was trying to confirm it with some tech documents, but it only relates to replacing untriggered airbags.
