How to spot the difference

I am buying an 05 Signum 3.0CDTI Design auto. I have looked on the internet for some insurance quotes and when you look at the option for model of car, it gives two choices for the engine - 174 and 184 -presumably this refers to bhp. So how do I know which one it is?

The 184 is the newer of the two matey. I'm not sure at what point (date) GM decided to up the power though, but I'm sure someone will be along soon to tell you.

I think it was the 55 face lift model but might be wrong.

Get the VIN number and ring VX customer care (spit) they should be able to tell you what it is.

OK - really divot question I know - but what are the differences between the facelift model and the pre facelift?

Bigger chrome bit that doesn't go all the way round and streched headlight = facelift.

Looks like a tank = pre-facelift.

I didn't like the Vectra-C when it came out as I had a 'B' but it grew on me and I started to like it. Then when the facelift came out, I didn't like that but it also grew on me. The pre-facelift looks more agressive in my book but not as sporty.

Anyway, you have a pre-facelift as someone pointed out for you and they were made up until 2005. Some sliped into 55 reges because they were sitting on the forecourts unregistered until then but they didn't make any more after the 05 reg.
