Question ? for those with vxr rear skirt.

    hi,

as above, picking mine up from the body shop next week and was just wondering about fitment.in the box i got 4 screws and two other push in thingys with pins in them and the skirt itself has two strips along the top. i take it the strips stick to the bumper.is anything else required like the black silicone stuff or not?

    cheers.

    kev.

I had mine done recently,I've now got two clips that are attached to the skirt screwed into the rear wheel arch. I think they used a fitting kit as well but don't quote me on that. I can take a couple of photo's tomorrow if you need them

    hi mate,

cheers for reply.if you dont mind taking pics that would be great. when i picked the skirt up i placed it on the car loose and it seemed to be a tight fit anyway but just wanna make sure before i stick it on permanently.

    thanks.

Sorry Kev never managed to take any photos of the skirt fixings today, got to get on the road and head back to work.
I will take a couple tomorrow evening and post them up.

Kev, this is the fixings i was on about in the wheel arch,
If you look underneath the car there is also a bayonet type fitting which pins the skirt to the bumper.
I'm not sure if silicone sealant/adhesive was used on mine as i got the dealer to fit it. hope this helps

Just a warning, if you might want the vxr twin exhaust insert do it now before you fit the skirt, it took me 5 hours + a heat gun & stanley knife to fit mine with the skirt in place
