    Cheers Rushy, just tryin to get the last ones in as I have an appointment booked 2morra but its just to see if it can be done, if it can then I have the choice to have it fitted there and then

    no, Im gonna do it myself with my mates, one is a welder the other a mechanic and mot tester, should only cost £30 instead of £100. £100 is a big gamble for something that may not work..

    Will keep you all posted as its deffo the next thing to be done.

    just de-cat a cat, no welding at all then, and easier. Trust me, I've done it to so many cars now it really works, and its a garaunteed good fit (+ doesn't look decatted )

    nope, when you bang the cat out you leave a totally empty pipe, same as any aftermarket decat. Just make sure you clean it out before fitting

    I've been looking at performance exhausts, and I just read on one website that if your car's registered AFTER 1993, it's illegal to de-cat it. Go for a sports cat instead, you'll get 75-85% airflow instead of 50-60%.

    reason they say illegal is that MOST cars won't pass emissions without, the Vetcra diesels do though

    Not that it stops 99% of people doing it anyways
