    Default Emissions EURO standard

With the introduction of more ULEZ areas, I checked my car is OK - still is for now as down on the GOV checker as Euro 4

    However......

am I reading the specs right that it is actually Euro 5

Yes but we left the EU so the government can enforce it to be ranked lower. And that is exactly what they have done.

Same as on the government website... as I said they do sometimes have it wrong...but if you call the dealer and ask for a certificate that it is euro 5 you can contact the dvla about it and upon providing them with the certificate they should ammend it... but I have read stories about them plain out refusing to do so. One of the main reasons why I said they can do what they want, since they don't have to do as EU ruling states.

As long the engine code starts with Z is euro 4, if it was starting with A then it would be euro 5.
But i really hate all this stupid laws because they don't care how much pollutant you throw out, all they care is euro number.

Yeah my old dti puts out half of the emissions it should put out.. I did mess with it tuning wise and still have the egr fully functioning and even with it pushing more fuel through it doesn't go over the limits at all... it always puts out half it... that is with a new catalytic converter though.

Yet mine is euro 3... it puts out less than my old mk4 golf that was euro 4... go figure!
