Clutch pedal slack
Hi guys,
My vectra 1.9 CDTi with the M32 gearbox has a fair bit of slack on the clutch pedal. The clutch is fine, in fact I replaced it 3 years ago along with new slave cylinder and flywheel, but it’s always had slack at the pedal. Check the video out.

The first half there’s no resistance, it’s just slack, then the second half is where the clutch is depressed.
I know some vehicles there’s a rod to adjust between pedal and master cylinder to take the slack out. Does the vectra have a similar set up or is it a case of bleeding it to take the slack out?
If bleeding is the answer, what’s the best way to bleed these? The mechanic that fitted the clutch 3 years ago had a nightmare when he pressure bled it at the time and popped a brand new slave cylinder, resulting in the gearbox back out to replace it.
Many thanks!

Just bleed it... an easy bleed is the answer

Thats my next port of call I think… I’ve got an easybleed, but I thought these clutch slaves don’t like pressure bleeding and often fail when bled under pressure?

2 person old skool style... but CSC again, but honestly i have done this many times on several vectra's without a problem. So if the seal pops you've just bought a bad manufactured CSC... And to be fair there are a few bad brands out there.
