look in the diary of dog_book you'll see the complete dismantling and re-assembly.
I’ve not fully updated it yet but there were snippets posted in other areas for all to see. Might be slightly different though as the OP has an insignia as opposed to a Vectra but can’t see a massive difference only in shapes and handbrake mech as they use motors.

Not too bad a job depending on what you are swapping over - I tried to remove the hubs to change the dust shields and killed the ABS on both as they were seizes and didn't take kindly to a lump hammer
I'm just doing a bit tidy up. Start at the back and work forward. The fronts no bother just never done the rear sub before.
i pulled up a picture yesterday of the rear subframe on an insignia.. it does look a bit different but has about the same amount of bolts to be removed so basically it will be the same job... bar the different layout of a few of the components so bolt will be in a different location.
