Thanks for your reply. On the end of my dipstick oil tube where it goes into the sump casing there where (×2) 'O' Ring Seals
From your previous post, would i therefore require the (Bottom Two) ?
Would the (Upper Two) be for the 'O' Ring Seals on the Dipstick itself.

Yes i did take your advice last night Plasma. Purchased and Paid last night via Paypal (Total cost just over £5) only to have a email this morning refunding my money as they found they had no stock of these dipstick tube seals. I think there may have been one other seller on Ebay but they were about £5 each + postage.
VX Part Dealerships all closed at the moment and as I'm waiting to put tube back into sump after retrieving broken peice i reluctantly spend just over £14 with the p+p. Beans on toast tonight and tomorrow.

This is what i mean, even the popular places dont seem to be able to supply much now. Its easier for me, i would have measured the old o rings and the grooves and bought ones from a seal and bearings supplier in the city.

I would have done the same or took the old ones to a plumbers merchant (lots of taps etc use o rings) as i used to work at a plumbers merchant many years ago lol.

it was the reason why told him to remove the sump... 9 out of 10 times they either can't deliver o-rings or even worse the old o-ring gets damaged upon removal... while the sump gasket can be easily remade with liquid gasket...

don't get me wrong i have a plumbers box with all sorts of o-rings (got from aldi in one of their special buys) found it to be handy on a few cars.. but it doesn't have all the right sizes as used on bigger things and they are all round but some OEM o-rings are flat... but deffo a good tip to go to a plumbers or hydraulic specialist to get your seals if you can't find it at the dealer..
