I've had to use electrical switch cleaner on the number 6 injector as it's more exposed at the front of the car than the others.

Good luck, It'll be worth it once you get it sorted. I do love the V6 diesel.
i shall try contact cleaner and the actuator rod. annoys me no end that both the injector and turbo were spot on before i dismantled anything on monday and now seem to be dead.

on the plus side found and replaced the split coolant hose on top of egr cooler so car is no longer ****ing out coolant and i also suspect that pipe may have been the cause of my previous coolant leaks too.

does anyone happen to have a multimeter and can check the resistance accross 2 pins of the number 6 injector for me so i have a known working value to check against as i have done same on my number 6 and compared to number 5 and got same value so i doubt very much its actually an injector fault.. ill be trying wiring checks next if i can get resistance value confirmed

looks like the turbo actuator is dead on my car as its throwing the p0235 fault before i even start the car. actuator moves seemingly fine when powered but still throws an error code even when rod is not connected.

That's a shame. Just double check the wiring first.

    Good luck

Going to grab some contact cleaner tomorrow to try. Then if not i need to examine where i can get a replacement actuator

Injector i know i can get fairly cheapley and it doesnt look like a huge job to do compared to scvs

right heres another weird update in may cars saga.

turbo and actuator appears to work aslong as i dont leave engine ticking over for long, if its left ticking over it seems to throw the malfunction code and stop turbo boosting which means car has no power at all haha, but when the turbos working car can actually drive semi ok, it managed to tow my trailer for work last night anyway.

secondly it sounds like possibly low compression on cyl 6 as you can hear when its turning over that one cyl is possibly low on compression. not loosing water now so i dont think its a head gasket or anything like that but what other things could it be other than injector

Still no further progress. Car is at least running. Still a dead miss on cyl 6 but ive just got a cheap boroscope camera to try and take a look into the intake side of the head and see if i can see any obvious stuck valves etc before i shell out money to pull the head. Also got a replaceme t turbo actuator on route as mine appears to be failing and only works when it feels like

Is it worth popping along to your local garage and asking for a compression test?

no need for a compression test haha can hear one cyl is low on compression just turning the car over.

i know the injector for cyl6 is fine as if i use opcom to clear the fault codes and then start the car the car will run and put out shed loads of white/grey smoke until the ecu recognises the missfire and shuts off the injector. at which point the car will smoke for a short while longer then clear and run smoke free.

hence my suspicion for a stuck valve or similar since thats the only other mjaor thing that could cause a loss of compression bar a hole in the block which is unlikely as car otherwise runs fine and when the turbo actuator works has plenty of power to get to illegal speeds lol

And have you tried seagoing the injector to the one next to it and repeating the test to see if it is so number 6 that records the fault indicating it definitely is the cylinder itself?
