no power to all roof lights

hi i have a vectra cdti 57 plate and for some reason all the lights on the roof are dead including sun visor mirror lights ? the glove box and boot light still work fine so do the 3 switch lights on the front roof light work once i turn on the head lights but thats it have checked all fuses and bulbs but there seems to be no power to the lights

Hi mate sounds like the roof ribbon loom has broken some where down the line you need to drop the interior light at the front and check with a multi meter to see you are getting 12v feed

ok will try to look at this loom /ribbon over the weekend does anybody know were it runs i have a vectra 57 plate hatch am i right in thinking it runs from the fusebox in the boot ? if this is the case is the 1st point it runs the rear roof light ? because if it is that is also dead so am i right in thinking the prob will be between the rear roof light and the main power point in the boot and thank you ram how much you asking for the ribbon ?

Hi MATE I AM ASKING £10 FOR THE ROOF RIBBON LOOM YOU ARE JUST BETTER OFF RUNNING A NEW LOOM FROM THE REAR TO THE FRONT INTERIOR LIGHT THE ORIGINAL IS TAPED ONTO THE ROOF AND WILL BE A PAIN TO REMOVE YOUR ARE BETTER OFF LEAVING IT IN PLACE AND RUNNING THE NEW LOOM AGAINST THE OLD ONE UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO REMOVE THE COMPLETE ROOF LINING THEN REPLACING OLD WITH THE NEW LOOM

ok so have a 1 live and a earth at the light with all the doors shut the passenger side map light works only but goes off if you try to switch any other lights on by the switches or if you also open the door this 1 light goes off ?

could this be a relay problem as if ime right when u unlock and lock the car the lights come on and fade off is that a relay that does that power ? anybody know and where to locate it thank you
