yer thats the one
Tracker - the one that all Police forces have tracking equipment for.
RAC Trackster
There's another one, but I can't recall who it is.
fantastic thanks for that. Think i might go for it seem's like a good idea if the car dose get nicked ive got a good chance of getting it back. just for peace of mind really
As another option if you haven't got sat-nav you could get smart-nav which is basically the same as a trackstar, they're about 450 quid and 10 per month for the tracking.
I was watching a cop show the other night, Road Wars I think, and they noticed a tracker activation nearby, and within an hour of the theft they recovered a Range Rover and a Porsche (stolen from a dealer). So it definitely works.
And if rumour is true soon to become the least favoured as it does not have the favoured Thatcham approval rating. I have infact been told the tracking equipment has already being dropped by some forces and removed from their cars in favour of more up to date tracking methods.the one that all Police forces have tracking equipment for.
Tracking by RF signals has been around for donkeys years. Anyone would of thought they'd of caught on to the fact that to track by gps is peanuts now days in terms of manufacturing.
And if they had tracked it by gps with someone in the control room giving them precise street location by name they could of quaterd that time instead of driving round & round in circles watching an arrow & listening to a beep.I was watching a cop show the other night, Road Wars I think, and they noticed a tracker activation nearby, and within an hour of the theft they recovered a Range Rover and a Porsche
Speaking as someone with considerable experience actually using Tracker, the original is very hit and miss. It will get you to the general area, sometimes you find it, sometimes you don't.
The GPS services are much, much better.
this(http://www.cobratrakq.co.uk/shop/pro...iew.php?prod=3) was the one that was on the "tractor"...... Great piece of mind..
