Only because your tank will be empty before you complete a lap. The 1.8 in the hands of a competent driver will be faster than me.

just a thought my first time out there a few years ago I just went as a passenger so paid roughly half off most things ( okay you don't get to drive your car round the track .but still had a lot of fun.

I dont actually think id want to take my car round the ring? Think just the pilgrimage would be enough.... i could always hitch a ride in summit interesting on the day?
I wouldnt trust myself.. and wouldnt want to ruin things.....

You can hire a car at the ring to take round. Unsure of the costs but it is an option for people
