Rofl
I noted the other month that the horn wasn’t working at full efficiency with further tests revealing the r/h completely dead and the l/h more like a duck being strangled.
Fully removed and the loom plug adaptor popped off one horn.
As a temporary horn fix I used a spare Astra Mk3 horn and connected the Vectra adaptor. This gave a far better beep beep than the duck sound until the proper replacements arrive.
Vauxhall and other genuine parts supplied wanted silly money for each horn so after my usual through research I found FIAMM due their own twin horn kit which uses exactly the same horns as OE fit to the Vectra. The kit number is AM80S 927695 with the latter six numbers being the important part as the AM80S is supplied as single, twin and different connector kits.
What you get in the box.
So the other week I fitted them and now it’s back to a rather loud BEEEEEP BEEEEEP.
As the weather has been so nice of late the posh Summer genuine VXR branded mats got installed and the winter rubbers banished into the loft until later this year.
Mine are 54 full length/34 compressed (cm). My struts are Topran brand.
It's with a sad heart but the wife and I have decided to sell the VXR . It's currently on a well known auction site (search Vectra VXR Estate) so please have a look and it will also be at VBOA from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July (unless it sells prior to this) on the Vauxhall Drivers Club stand should you wish to view.

Car is a credit to you.
Crikey! I thought you'd keep that one for a very long time. If I get really fed up with my SRI, I read your thread for inspiration (and Dog Books of course...). What next then?
If i had still been in the UK i would have bought this off you ASAP
Sad day today as the VXR left our ownership and began a new life away from my sticky mittens, I hope the new owner will enjoy it as much as the wife and I have
