Best Brakes?

Can anybody recommend good brake pads for my SRi veccy?
Dont want anything special or expensive but want good quality. (Dont ask for much do I!!)

noticed the rear brakes can be a bit tricky. anyone know roughly how much vx charge for brakes and fitting?

try some ebc green stuff

there good and produce low brake dust, google 'ebc brakes' as i cant remember the site add soz

just noticed you are in wales, try demon tweeks...

nearly £75 for the greenstuff.
bit on the pricy side me thinks!
just for the fronts.

Yep, but that's for the aftermarket VX pads - nowhere near as good as the Vx OEM pads - which are around the £60 odd range. More expensive, but definitely worth it - both for front and back.

Vx recently rationalised all their brake prices...disc & pad sets now all cost the same. Any garage will fit them for not very much

Yep, but you only get the aftermarket pads in those kits - something to be aware of.

in that case is it worth going the little bit further and getting green stuff or red stuff pads?

Id stick with the genuine vx stuff, know where you are then,

Might be bit cheaper if you can get through the trade club.
