Default Retrofitting Auto Lights and Auto Wipers

Can anyone tell what I need to retrofit auto lights and auto wipers to my 03 Preface Vectra SRi I think I've got the window sensor already fitted.

Please feel free to correct me, if I'm wrong

auto lights switch, rain sensor with light sensor and programming of BCM and REC (UEC if you have DRLs active).

Will silkaflex be okay for sticking the sensor mount to the windscreen?

I've got the auto headlight switch and wiper headlight sensor. When it was tech2d it said short in rain sensor. They still programmed the systems to present but now when I switch headlights to auto they come on straight away. I've unplugged the sensor and it still switches the headlights on.
Has anyone had this fault before?? Of so what solved it?
    any advise would be great.

@jon1.9cdti organised this for my car fairly recently. With MANY thanks of course matey

You will need a facelift type rain/light sensor together with the loom - The type / ident is probably going to be "EX". You cannot get the result you need by using a prefacelift type JL (rain only) sensor. The loom is needed because the connections are different for the preface half canbus sensors and the facelift full canbus type.

You will also need an autolight switch to suit your headlamp configuration, ie 3 button type for factory xenons, 4 button type for manual levelling adjusters.

After that, it will be down to programming to determine whether the modules in your car are compatable, but if they aren't you will probably be able to change one or more to a later version to get the result needed.

Cheers woody. I've got the ex sensor and had a full cannula roof loom but didn't realise that the main interior light/alarm unit wiring was snapped off. I put thepre facelift loom back in to get all the lights working again. What is the difference with the facelift and pre facelift wiring? I could try and splice the canbus loom in somewhere. Unless someone has a full can bus loom for sale I could buy
