Hence why i moan about accuracy, the thread isn't even in the right place as its not modifying a part of the car and there's no mention until now of which engine this refers to.

Dude, the thread mentions Ian Highlander, Caveman Nige and Rebellion (me)... it could only really be about the Z20NET
I still contend that the fact that the question of the pulley bolt was asked and then answered properly and promptly means the engine in question must be the Z20NET. To highlight how differently this scenario would have played out for other engines, I phoned several forum members, each with a different engine and asked about the pulley bolt. These were their replies:
1. The 1.8 driver: "My mum doesn't let me open the bonnet, she says there's monsters in there"
2. The 1.9 driver: *sighs* "A problem with pulley bolt you say? I'll add it to my list of things to do...fix the swirl flaps, clean the EGR valve, replace the 3rd injector wiring, clean the EGR valve again..."
3. The 2.8 driver: "My butler looks after the mechanical issues, I'll have him respond to your enquiry. He's very good you know, he was butler to the 4th Earl of Westbury for many years.."
4. The 3.0 diesel driver: "The Vauxhall dealership took out the crankshaft and pulley at the last service. They said it was causing my suction control vālve issues...".

I seem to have opened a can of worms here, and I apologise, BUT....
If you Google Z19DTH Crank bolt this thread is one of the first results, so I just want to make sure no one else was caught out by this.
I googled. I was directed here. I turned the bolt clockwise. It broke.
I will now be scrapping my spare engine.
This is nobody's fault but Google's algorithms.
Just a precaution.

You blame google; I blame Fiat for fitting backwards bolts...

Back in the day, the "cabbage Z20NET crew" as you call us, owned this forum. We were like Royalty. Z22SE owners used to beg us to show them our BHP graphs, Z19 drivers would marvel at our true stories of going 10,000 miles and more without having to swap out any inlet manifolds.
Times changed...people got old...I turned 20...still, at least we have the memories of being kings.
