    Default replaced the battery

    hi,my cousin has just replaced the battery on his vec c (05 1.9cdti) now the doors wont open

    any suggestions guys

    Presume you mean the remote isn't opening / closing the doors - as Critch says -Put the key in the ignition with ignition on - press the open and close buttons on the remote fob and this should resync the remote - he will probably have to reset the electric windows as well.

    the d*** had the doors locked when he changed it,replaced the battery then shut the bonnet..........................only to discover no power & no way into the car

    im thinking break a window?

    Does the boot lock have a key hole in it you could use and climb through?

    Squirt some WD40 in the key hole and work the key from side to side

    Tried any spare keys in the lock? Sprayed oil/WD40 in lock?
