    Default Stained doorcard help

    When i purchased my car from a local garage it had been caked in dash shine which i HATE! And as the months have gone on iv noticed this on my drivers door, iv washed it, wiped it and it just wont go, any ideas what it is or how to get rid?

    Looks like it's just faded with the sun.

    Best thing I've found to bring it back out is Megs tyre gel (seriously), rub a very small amount into the plastic, leave it a minute or two, then buff it back off with a dry microfibre cloth which should leave it dry but nice again. You will have to re-do this regularly though, it's only a temporary thing, should last a week or two each time.

    Two other options, you can replace the doorcard completely (cheap enough on Ebay) or paint it using the special rubber paint who's name escapes me right now, but someone will no doubt be along with it shortly.

    My choice would be replace the door card personally.

    Thanks alot, i didnt know if it was that or of it was something actually on the door itself as iv had a few vauxhall and never come across it before, its just on the drivers door, not on the dash or anything so might have alook on ebay thanks alot

    To me that looks as though it has been rubbed with something abrasive. If it has, then replacement is your best bet. HTH.

    http://www.vinyldye.co.uk - Will permanently colour it back for you, although you might wind up doing all the doorcards to get them matched
