    Hey guys,
    Sorry if this has been covered ive had a search and no joy..
    could just be me though!..
    i have recently brought my Vectra 1.8 SRi...
    however i want to get the timing belt done (purely for piece of mind) couple of questions is this the correct kit i need for her?...

    there were two 1.8 engines, the earlier and reliable Z18XE which was superceeded by the Z18XER which was the VVT engine.. What year/reg is you car?

    I think yours will be the 1.8XE - On one engine the cambelt drives the water pump on the other it doesn't - that's a good price for that belt kit - is it genuine GM stuff

    hopefully it will be as i want to order it asap and get it done for my own piece of mind.. Yeah i presume so mate just need a deffinate on the engine codes for it, you can tell im new to the world of vectras haha..

    Go on here http://ecat24.com/opel/catalog/models/1/ ( you may have to change the page setting to GB fot the right language) and enter your VIN no in the slot on the left - it comes up with all the details of your car and if I remember correctly the engine designation for your car
