Well as me and the family are moving soon we will be needing a diesel so was all set to spend 10k plus on nice insignia elite or something along those lines, mrs has made a good point tho and said why not get another vectra sri diesel for time being as itll do miles well plus with 1 toddler and newborn chances are it wont be to well cared for

10k will get you a mint Vec 150 SRI CDTI with about 3k change buddy. I spent £7750 in Jan this year on a very low mileage XP2 CDTI 150. 10k on an Insignia will be a higher mileage car, although, cabinwise a nicer place to be. At 10k I'd go for a Vec, more money nearer 14k would get you a stunning VX line insignia

See what you mean, but if it's cash and a car you need..... dated or not, the Vec gets my vote. Although I don't think they do look Dated.
What will you be doing with your existing car? Selling her on?

Personally, It'd be the Vec for me based on the Info you've given....

yes would be selling my vvt bud, love it so much but doing alot of miles it would not be the best car for that, i do agree i love the look of facelift

One less vvt owner on here though, you'll be entering the realms of the "HEAVY OIL".... you know, the same stuff fishing trawlers run off! ;p

lol i know bud but needs must, have had diesels and petrols before and truthfully this vvt i have now has really captured me its fantastic and feels as tight as a drum, typical tho just after ive fitted twin exhausts aswell
