Fitting a Nokia CK7-W Bluetooth Kit

Hi all,

My 1st post as a newbie on the forum and as an owner.

I have just recently converted from my 3.2 Omega Elite to my first 2.2 Vectra Elite on a 56 plate.

Question: I have a Nokia CK7-W kit that was taken out of the Omega and would like to fit in the Vectra.
Is it a straight forward job and are there any guides/tips etc on how to fit it please?

I won't be needing the cradle as I have a HTC phone fitted elsewhere.

It is an easy job. The only downside is that I get a Nokia ringtone when my Android rings!

The unit has a power lead with 4 wires.

Connect the black wire to the vehicle ground.
Connect the yellow wire to the MUTE connection of the car radio.
Connect the blue wire to a switched live using the 1A fuse supplied. Not connecting this wire will leave the unit permanently live as long as a bluetooth phone is connected.
Connect the red wire to a permanent live using the 2A fuse supplied.

its easyest i have ever fitted red to plus on battery black to earth the rest is plug and play fitted loads.....

Never fitted one before and not the brightest spark when it comes to car electrics, but hopefully with your advice above, I may be able to do it without setting fire to the car

Red goes to any permanent live on the Vectra - I used the red in the Radio ISO connector
Black goes to any ground point or link to a local Vauxhal brown wire... not to a Vauxhall Black wire!!
Blue goes to an ignition live point, and so I connected mine to the cigarette lighter / charger socket black wire.
Yellow is the telemute wire - the white sticker on your head-unit casing should tell you which one this is.
Pin 11 on full CAN.
Pin 30-something on half-CAN vehicles... 34 ish I think.

Yours is a Full CAN vehicle, and so your telemute pin (Yellow wire) is Pin 11 in the big quadlock connector at the back of the radio.

If you are not confident with wiring, I do not suspect that you will use the front car speakers to listen to the phone - Instead you will be using the standalone speaker ?

Here is the Quadlock pin-out for fully fitting a CK-7W as I fitted it to the wife's Vectra-C.

If the weather holds today, I'll take a look and have a go

I was given advice about the Parrot mki9200, telling me that it was much better than the CK7-W that I have. I do have an mp3 player which is currently hooked up the audio by an FM transmitter. Although pretty good, its a pain with all the wires.
With the mki9200, can I use my mp3 player to control what I play or do I have to use the parrot kit supplied?

The parrot kit does more than the Nokia like streaming music but the Nokia can't be matched for quality (calls) and ease of fitting
