and out of interest, is there any way to recondition these calipers? to get them in top notch condition before fitting them, they come with carriers.

Yeah great price mate
its about same price again for disc an pad kit from vx on trade club
so all in cheaper than you could get the calipers alone a couple months ago
i suppose the price is right considering standard calipers can be had for about £20 each, do you know if it spossible to refurb these calipers mate or anything i can do to make sure they would be in top condition? the guy has given his word they are fine and off a car with under 70000 miles on it.
You could probably buy a refurb kit but I doubt their cheap.
do a visual check of the rubbers. Ensure sliders are nice an smooth operation an apply a really thin layer or grease.
fit them bleed them an check arnt grabbing or sticking.
70k is fine it's half the mileage of my car an touch wood had no front caliper dramas
ok, my local garage is also a mot place, and very nice to me, i will get them to staick my car on the rollers, and get a read out with the standard set up then a read out with the v6 calipers fitted, dont suppose anyone has done this before?
ive told him im going to go ahead with the deal, so just awaiting his reply.
i only just did all new pads and discs a few months ago!
i suppose that due to been a member of this forum that it is mandatory that i also paint these calipers?
My original front offside caliper seized and was replaced under warranty in October 2009 (4 years and 94K miles)
I then paid for the front nearside to be replaced at the same time, that was £210 (note that was the complete assembly; caliper, carrier, and half set of pads and disc)
just checked, these calipers are just over 60000 miles old, 2005.
i dont think they come with bolts, are the bolts different to the standards?
heres a pic, i hope they are for the 314
