saab 93 1.9

Looking at a Saab 93 1.9tid vector sport. Not sure if its a good idea lol. It's a lovely low mileage full service history car. Obviously the engine is same as vec! But what else is shared?? Ne1 know how easy Saab parts are.to get since the demise if Saab? Need advise! Cheers.

Parts are ok its depreciation that's the killer the vectras not good but Saabs are worse

It's at.a.great.price.for spec n mileage so was thinking.it had.already taken the.hit. although like any.other car they all depreciate lol

I've just bought a 2008 Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD (120) Vector Sport Estate with 60k on the clock for £3800! (£3100 with my Signum trade in) Its the most comfortable car I've ever driven and I think it looks great! They even replaced the alternator tensioner after the bolt snapped on the motor way and collected the car from my house! I', easily getting 650 miles from a tank, its a group 10 insurance (I think) and only £135 a year road tax.

As far as I can tell, its still a Vectra C underneath... the engine etc is the same, just seems to be the shell and exterior/interior.

I bought it from a VX dealer and they had paid £5500 for it only a few months previous! They also did the water pump / cambelt (Apparently - I havent been back to pick up the paperwork as its a bit of a drive - but it does have a sticker on the side of the cover stating the cambelt change mileage) the EGR was replaced when they put it through its first MOT and they gave me 12mths road tax!

They just wanted rid of it!

If you dont mind the final cost when you sell it or trade in later, then its a fantastic buy!

Yep, 2004 2.0 Turbo Design with 112k on the clock... it was becoming a money pit... the day before I dropped it off the wiper linkage went, I was praying it didnt rain! (Thats another reason that I havent been back to collect some paper work LOL)

I really dont care about how much it I get for the Saab when it comes to sell, its going to be a motorway car, I do close to 3k a month now, I'm probably going to drive it until its uneconomical to repair etc

Never said they weren't good cars and as said bargains but if u want a car your going to get peanuts for when selling go for it I would do it

Well all I can say is I I've fixedalot of Saab with that engine same as Vectra but they seem to break quiet alot Easyer especially blowing up wouldn't have one given unless it was a ttid seem to be stronger for some reason
