Default New coil pack and sparks yet still some throttle hesitation.

As per title, the coil pack and sparks have cured the juddery acceleration, it's nice and smooth now but it can hesitate on the throttle and feels down on power, I have found that slightly lifting off the throttle and going back on can bring a little more response but it still feels a little under powered, could a good clean of the throttle body cure it? any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Andy.

I have a feeling it could be something to do with the fuel filter, I have no idea when it was last changed and it also needs an oil change and filter, I'm sure the old oil is about a year old (had the car for about 9 months).

I have stil got juddery acceleration even after a coil pack, plugs, fuel & air filters. Next is to try and clean throttle body. I am pretty sure that it's not injectors as putting cleaner through the system makes no difference. Disconnectin the MAF makes a bit of difference so might be worth trying to give that a good clean.

Maybe cheap petrol might be a factor if your like everyone else these days looking for the cheapest around.

I've also read things about water temp sensor's being nacked and sending bad signals to the ecu giving poor perfomance. Worth a change for a tenna!!!

I try to use shell v power. I don't run super (97/99) any more as the car was just drinking it.

People have reported less hesitation after cleaning the throttle body, would be worth doing.

Thanks for all the ideas and possibilities, I'd say the MAF sensor is fine, after removing the plugs they had a nice tan/biscuit colour so fuel/air mixture and temp are pretty much spot on. I'm going to try cleaning the throttle body as that seems to be the culprit here, now the question is how and what do I need? I have enough mechanical sense to do it, I'm just not too sure on the procedure and what tools, cleaner or other things I may need or what I need to watch out for, all advice greatly appreciated.

It shouldn't be too big a job. Even if you can just get the pipe off the top ad clean around the edes of the butterfly, that's all I'm gonna do.

Quick question, when you guys talk about hesitation and juddering is it very noticeable? My car feels like it has a slight hesitation but it could well just be a characteristic of the engine, if that makes sense..
