Is anybody with tesco car insurance? My renewal starts tomorrow, I'm 25 and got fully comp with them. Do they cover so you can drive anycar third party? I was told I was covered for that but I don't trust them they could of said that just so I keep the policy

Only you can answer that, it will be written on your policy somewhere.

mine says i can drive any other car so long as it hold full insurance mot and cup to date road fund license and is not owned by me or is used for commercial purposes including but not limited to commuting and for no more the 14 consecutive days.

my tesco policy is fully comp full no claims protection but exclude commuting to and from a permanent place of work as i also have a van which i use for that

If you took their cover out over the internet you should be able to check as they automatically send you your documents via the email you used. Im with Tesco and yes you can drive any other car third party with them, but watch they do 2 levels of cover, their Value range and the Normal one, I have the Normal one and I can defiantly drive any other car on that one.

The info is also available on their website

    http://www.tescobank.com/personal/fi...documents.html

However, I'm with Tesco (fully comp) and covered to drive other cars on third party only. (Just like 99% of other car insurances)

When making this enquiry, ask for a written confirmation of your questions
    Include a question :
I require to drive another vehicle, I have permission by the registered keeper, do I need to inform you (the insurance company for my own vehicle) and/or the other vehicles insurance company?

I have run into this issue before, as the car already has cover for the insured only
The other driver is then NOT insured on their own policy, and should have been added as a named driver on the policy of the person that owns the other vehicle...
