Scratch that. The cars just been delivered back & it's still smoking & juddering (although it starts well). Mechanic said the judder might be a slight misfire but the only way to know it to test the injectors and he doesn't have the equipment to do that & thinks most places charge £30 per injector!! The 'blue smoke' is an oil leak but he can't find anything so it'd be a case of how much do you want to spend on fault finding.

blue smoke & uneven/chugging would be injector values out of range/scope, a test/reading with opcom would show injector value problems if you can hook up to someone with this its a 5 min job to show the injector values.

I think we're going to p/x it as we just don't have the money to start chasing phantom oil leaks etc..

Cheers for the offer, but we're on the other side of the country (almost in Hull) so it's probably too far to travel.

I've been speaking to a mate of mine who's a sales manager at a Peugeot dealership and he reckons the p/x value is only about £3k! (not told him about the faults yet). I've emailed the garage who did the belt & pump to get his opinion on the whole thing. If getting everything fixed is going to cost more than £1500 I may as well get shut of it.

It's bluey/grey. The mechanic describes it as blue thou.

The mechanics opinion on it all is that the injectors would need testing but it's not complicated or overly expensive to replace faulty parts. The smoke could be either stem seals or early signs of the turbo giving up the ghost & either way it's mega expense time.

    I feel sick!
